Jökulsá á Dal, also called Jökulsá á Brú is in east Iceland. In this particular area the river is hugged by these stunning rock formations called Stuðlagil. Stuðlagil was actually unknown for a long time due to the high rise of it's river. But after a hydroelectric plant was built, the landscape drastically changed and the water level decreased, making this canyon visible. It has become one of the most popular places in east Iceland.
